More details

Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start with self-employment or a business idea… or to find the information you need to progress.

Ask Me Anything is an informal, open session for LJMU students and recent graduates to join us online, meet our advisers, and…ask us anything. Anything relating to freelancing, business ideas, starting a business, and how the Hub can help you. All questions big and small are welcome, and we will do our best to answer them. The session is entirely led by your questions and is also a chance to meet peers who have questions as well.

We will be online from 10-11am and you can connect to the call at any time to ask your questions and listen to others.

Thousands of university students have brilliant startup ideas, but they're stumped by one question: "What do I do next?". The gap between having an idea and knowing your next concrete steps is where most student startups die. In this 2-hour workshop we will explore the following questions:

  • How to know your idea will work before investing time and money
  • Will people want my product or service?
  • What do I have to offer and who are my customers?
  • How do I fund my start-up?
  • When do I make it official and register a company?
  • What legal stuff am I missing?

By the end of the 2 hours, you will have created a Personal Action Plan, covering the next steps for YOUR specific idea or business.
